THE TIGER WOMAN

 

Tiger Woman is a creation of mine who has starred in three comic books. Her adventures are a blend of science fiction and fantasy. Her first appearance was in Cartune Land #3. In a little six page black and white story. Years later, she was resurrected in her own color comic for two issues and one more black and white issue. I have another issue of her adventures finished, which will see print (hopefully) sometime soon.
Her milieu is the future after the breakdown of society; after the apocalyptic war which follows that event; after the reformation which follows that; and after the devastating meteor shower which follows that, forcing humanity to abandon Earth and migrate into space. She makes her home in Gentech Park, mankind’s last and greatest achievement.
Gentech Park was started in the mid 21st century as an attempt to reclaim and preserve humanitie's past heritage. During the Reformation, after so many mistakes, with greater than ever before resources at hand, a gigantic park/ museum/ fun-land was created in the heart of what was left of North America. In Gentech Park, all the ancient cities of the past were recreated, from Babylon to New York. Extinct animals from dodos to dinosaurs were recreated by genetic engineering. Guests at the park could role play during their stays in any of the many faithfully recreated worlds. Visitors could even be morphed into look alikes for historical figures or mythological creatures, for a truly unique vacation experience.
Tiger Woman is one of only a handful of humans left on Earth. The park is in a state of decay and is a very dangerous place.
